BFA students have the opportunity to focus in a specific area (or two) by choosing from more than a dozen Minors. Ringling College of Art and Design (RCAD) houses the Illustration Department, which has an Illustration BFA with a General Illustration or Visual Development Emphasis. This includes 18 credits in Studio Foundations, 42 in Illustration, and 18 in Studio Electives. In the Junior or Senior year, students may complete an internship, and the final year of the program students will complete Illustration Graduation Portfolio I-II.
